Insurance Coverage Litigation Attorneys
About the role
Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani seeks litigation attorneys in San Diego, Carlsbad, Orange County, or Los Angeles, with the option to work remotely. Ideal candidates should have at least 4 years of experience in litigating insurance coverage and extra contractual cases, particularly those involving California first and third-party property and casualty insurance coverage, professional liability, UIM/UM coverage, life, health, and disability matters, and bad faith litigation.
Responsibilities
- Engage in complex litigation in both state and federal court
- Manage multiple cases simultaneously
- Develop and implement a discovery plan, including taking and defending depositions
- Evaluate potential insurance liability exposures
- Prepare case assessments and evaluations
- Write and research effectively
- Balance workload and produce consistent work product
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in insurance coverage and extra contractual cases
- Experience with California first and third-party property and casualty insurance coverage, professional liability, UIM/UM coverage, life, health, and disability matters, and bad faith litigation
- Strong academic credentials
- Self-starter with ability to manage own litigation
- California Bar Licensure required

Pay
Current national base salary ranges: Associates (1-6 years): $100,000–$165,000; Senior Counsel/Of Counsel (5 years or more): $140,000–$215,000; Partners (7 years or more): $190,000–$275,000+. Actual compensation varies based on factors such as experience, skills, practice area, business generation, work arrangement, and geographic market.
