About the Role

Nicolaides Fink Thorpe Michaelides Sullivan LLP is seeking an Insurance Coverage Counseling and Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing Denver office. This is an exceptional opportunity to handle challenging and complex issues and disputes (litigated and non-litigated) involving a wide array of industries, subject matters, and legal principles while developing expertise in a constantly evolving practice area.

Our firm promotes a highly collaborative work environment where attorneys work directly alongside partners in all six offices, have regular client contact, and are encouraged to develop client relationships. Ideal candidates are self-starters who possess strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, along with the ability to think strategically and problem-solve difficult concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Handle complex insurance coverage counseling and litigation matters, both litigated and non-litigated
  • Work directly with partners across the firm’s six offices
  • Engage in regular client contact and develop client relationships
  • Analyze and strategize on challenging legal issues across various industries and subject matters

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 3-5 years of civil litigation experience
  • At least one year of insurance coverage experience (preferred)
  • Excellent academic record
  • Bar Certified in Colorado

Pay

Associate attorney compensation ranges from $160,000 to $240,000 annually, with the final offer based on experience. Additional potential for annual performance-based raises and discretionary bonuses.
