Insurance Claims Technician

About the role

Medical Mutual is seeking an administrative professional to join our team. The ideal candidate is an organized individual who can multi-task, is detail oriented, and manages deadlines well. Insurance experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a desire to grow.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and technical support to the Claims Department to ensure efficient handling of claim files and department operations.
• Daily filing, scanning, copying, mailing
• Management of medical records
• Compose and proofread correspondence
• Assist with reports, committee materials, required regulatory filings
• Process invoices

Requirements

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in an office or administrative setting
• Strong aptitude for learning and working with computer systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
• Familiarity with medical terminology

Salary range: $41,000 - $54,500 a year.
