Insurance Claims Specialist

About the role

The Insurance Claims Specialist will manage physical damage and total loss claims for auto loan accounts. Auto Insurance Claims experience is required, with a focus on subprime consumer lending industry.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local laws/regulations.
• Process and file physical damage, total loss, and GAP claims with insurance agencies and other third-party administrators.
• Issue Letters of Guarantee for assets declared as a total loss.
• Negotiate claim resolutions with insurance agencies and/or third-party administrators to maximize recovery and minimize losses to the company.
• Analyze data used in settling claims to ensure validity and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Obtain repair estimates, and/or total loss or diminished values.
• Accurately and professionally document account information and collection activities.
• Consult with the legal department on claims requiring litigation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• 3+ years of insurance claims experience, preferably in the subprime consumer lending industry.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interact professionally, tactfully, and sensitively.
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
• Available to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Pay

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour + Bonus

Schedule

Flexible work schedule and availability to work overtime as needed.
