Responsibilities
- Submit and follow up on managed care and commercial insurance claims
- Review remittances, denials, rejections, and underpayments
- Correct and resubmit claims as needed
- Complete account reconciliation
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable
- Communicate with insurance payers and facility teams to resolve billing issues
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of managed care and commercial insurance claims
- Experience with claim follow-up, denials, authorizations, and payment reconciliation
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
- Previous Skilled Nursing Facility insurance billing experience helpful
- Extremely strong computer skills - experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and billing software, standard office applications like Microsoft Excel and Word, and medical coding systems
- Strong, accurate data entry and the ability to navigate insurance web portals are required to submit claims and track reimbursements without errors
- PCC and Waystar experience preferred
