Insurance Authorization Rep

Responsibilities

• Obtain information on the patient’s eligibility status with insurance companies to ensure proper coverage and payment for services.
• Work closely with insurance providers and referring physicians’ staff to obtain necessary patient history and notes in order to expedite processing.
• Properly analyze various payor eligibility responses to find the information needed to complete verifications.
• Avoid obtaining and confirm insurance pre-authorizations & contact insurance providers via email or phone to review status of authorizations.
• Avoid ensuring accurate and timely data entry into the RIS system for each patient, according to established standards.

• Able to demonstrate effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills and respect with patients, vendors & referring physicians.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a knack for prioritizing work with a structured approach, and enjoy providing world-class customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge is preferred.

Pay

Pay Rate Range: $23.00 - $26.00 / Per Hour
