Insurance Agency Customer Service Representative
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, and direct to the assigned agent if necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and documentation.
- Collaborate with insurance carriers and internal teams to resolve issues and provide solutions for mutual customers.
- Support administrative tasks related to customer service operations such as gathering information for policy changes, payment processing, and filing.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience, preferably within the insurance or automotive industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and customer management software.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.

DeNooyer Direct Insurance Services is seeking a dedicated Insurance Agency Customer Service Representative to join our team in Colonie, NY. Our insurance agency is located inside the DeNooyer Chevrolet dealership. In this role, you will be a point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support related to their insurance policies. You will assist clients with their inquiries and ensure a smooth and positive experience throughout their interaction with our agency.
DeNooyer Direct Insurance Services operating hours are Monday through Thursday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This is a part-time position - the candidate must have availability some evenings and rotating Saturdays. Schedule to be determined.
