Instrumentation Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and calibrate instrumentation equipment used in laboratory and field test environments
  • Maintain and monitor the proper functioning of data acquisition systems and sensors
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation issues promptly to avoid disruptions in research activities
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop and implement new instrumentation solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and inspection activities
  • Absorb and analyze data collected from instrumentation activities to support research projects

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in instrumentation technology, electronics, engineering, or a related technical field preferred
  • Experience with installation, calibration, and maintenance of scientific instruments and data acquisition systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to instrumentation and electronics
  • Familiarity with data acquisition software and instrumentation hardware
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
