About the role
Performs various tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power and control systems. Assists/conducts preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment. Schematic reading and instrumentation calibration. Digital and Analog PLC program use in troubleshooting. Low and medium voltage cable routing, splicing, and terminating. Basic mechanical activities (non-critical welding, laser alignment).
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair a diverse range of electrical equipment throughout the cement plant (Example: Instrumentation circuits, motor control circuits up to 13.8 kilovolts, low and medium voltage drives, monitoring analyzers)
- Assists/conducts preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment.
- Schematic reading and instrumentation calibration.
- Digital and Analog PLC program use in troubleshooting.
- Low and medium voltage cable routing, splicing, and terminating.
- Perform walk-by inspections and diagnostic checks.
- Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities.
- Work with contractor personnel.
- Participates in formal and on-the-job training programs to acquire/broaden both technical and non-technical job skills; participates in cross training activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
- Additional Education: 2 years technical college in a related subject preferred
- Required Computer and Software Skills: Effective computer and systems skills
- Travel Requirements: Minimal
- Additional Requirements: 2-4 years industrial experience required; equivalant education may be considered
- General knowledge of electrical theory including electrical safety theory is required
- High degree of accuracy and mathematical ability
- The ability to operate electrical test equipment
Qualifications
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
- Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
