Primary Duties/Responsibilities

  • Follows all applicable safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Participates in all required safety training activities.
  • Reports any unsafe conditions encountered in performance of duties.
  • Installs, maintains, calibrates, troubleshoots, makes program changes and corrections, repairs and overhauls all power house and supervisory systems.
  • Indicates, records, telemeters, and controls instruments (electric, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic) used to measure and control variables.
  • Implements a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Maintains inventory of spare parts and inventory records.
  • Affords assistance to outside service engineers.
  • Maintains maintenance and repair records.
  • Reads process and instrument (electric, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic) diagrams.
  • Programs programmable data loggers and controllers (multi-loop ladder and function).
  • Generates hard copy records of ladder logics and files.
  • Performs other duties of a similar level and nature as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Associate degree in Instrument Technology, Electronic Technology, Computer Technology or related field is preferred.
  • Communicates effectively via written and oral methods with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and others when necessary.
  • Skills in computers and data input devices, email, application and office software.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair remote and local control systems for HVAC, Gas Turbines, Boilers, Air compressors, Generators and Valves.
  • Valid State of Wisconsin Drivers License is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and to wear breathing apparatus for confined entry.
