Responsibilities
- Perform calibration, testing, inspection, and maintenance of field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments
- Calibrate and troubleshoot control valves, safety valves, transmitters, and actuators
- Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and instrument datasheets
- Install, maintain, and repair pneumatic, electronic, and digital instrumentation systems
- Diagnose instrument loop issues and verify loop checks during commissioning and maintenance activities
- Perform functional testing and documentation of calibration results in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot control system issues and work closely with operations and engineering teams
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company procedures, and industry standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, calibration, and testing activities
- Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency repairs as required
- Participate in equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and EHS initiatives
- Safeguard equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Support housekeeping and safe work practices in assigned areas
- Train and mentor other employees as needed
- Safely assist with other maintenance craft work when required
Qualifications
- Journeyman-level skills in instrumentation and control systems with the ability to pass and maintain qualification testing
- Familiarity with DCS and PLC-based control systems
- Experience working with diagnostic and test equipment
- Ability to safely work on industrial electrical systems relevant to Instrumentation
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment
- Basic computer skills using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications of Excel and Word
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, maintenance, quality standards and procedures
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate plant vehicles
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without accommodation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
