About the role

As a key member of our engineering department, you'll collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of commercial nuclear power facilities. Responsibilities include conducting electrical assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, updating plant drawings and documentation, reviewing vendor submittals, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance plant reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop Engineering Deliverables: Produce precise and error-free drawings, calculations, and analyses that exceed industry codes, standards, and client expectations.
• Set the Standard: Develop engineering documents that meet or surpass client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements, adhering to processes that guarantee excellence.
• Stay on the Cutting Edge: Continuously enhance your expertise in industry codes, safety culture principles, and advanced design techniques.
• Drive Quality & Precision: Deliver exceptional engineering solutions aligned with rigorous quality assurance programs.
• Cultivate Strong Client Connections: Build trust and lasting relationships through clear communication and professional engagement.
• Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with multidisciplinary teams to create integrated, well-rounded designs.
• Provide Field Support: Engage directly with client personnel, perform plant walkdowns, and ensure all structures, systems, and components meet engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or similar Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of I&C plant components and controls systems, including PLCs and DCS.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power, or government (DOE) projects, either directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm.
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor and in teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Pay

Compensation range: USD $90,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
