Instrumentation & Control Engineer (Data Centers)

This job opportunity is available at any location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S.-based office, but we intend to hire the best candidates. Join a vibrant, dynamic team that delivers world-class designs for well-known clients around the world. You’ll develop Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology and panel design including panel layout and wiring diagrams. You’ll also manage demanding project schedules, prepare accurate reports, and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Work on projects designing state-of-the-art data center, semiconductor, and other manufacturing facilities
- Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of industrial facility control systems
- Work within global multidisciplinary teams
- Manage time efficiently across multiple projects
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering
- Experience in instrumentation and controls
- Familiarity with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- 2+ years of BIM design experience
- Experience using BIM360, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing data center, semiconductor, and other industrial facilities
- Familiarity with controls, electrical panels, and cable tray
- Familiarity with instrument placement

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $58,200.00 to $80,000.00 and will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Jacobs offers a hybrid working policy, allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
