Your impact This job opportunity is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a JACOBS U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the "best" candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
  • Design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, working closely with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world-class solutions for new facilities.
  • Provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinating work activities amongst project team members and the discipline lead.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to produce control system designs for various processes, and develop options and optimizations for all aspects of process control, instrumentation, and automation systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other related engineering or technical field
  • At least 2 Years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control Systems
  • Experience in industrial or commercial control systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA systems, or Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Experience
  • Experience with Data Center control systems design, commissioning, and infrastructure components
  • Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, or other control platforms
  • Working knowledge of common instrument types and applications
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams
  • Passion for critical facilities, infrastructure systems, and construction

Qualifications

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $69,500.00 to $95,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
