About the Role
Your responsibilities will include developing P&IDs, sizing valves, specifying instrumentation, and documenting and modeling design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards. Responsibilities
- Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document and model design information
- Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards
- Design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete, world-class solutions for new facilities
- Provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinating work activities amongst project team members and the discipline lead
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other related engineering or technical field
- At least 2 Years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control Systems
- Experience in industrial or commercial control systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), SCADA systems, or Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
- Engineer in Training (EIT) experience is a plus
- Experience with Data Center control systems design, commissioning, and infrastructure components
- Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, or other control platforms
- Working knowledge of common instrument types and applications
- Experience preparing technical specifications, point lists, and design drawings
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices and contribute with innovative ideas
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams
- Passion for critical facilities, infrastructure systems, and construction

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $69,500.00 to $95,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Employees have the option to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
