Instrumentation & Communications Technician 3/C (entry-level role under direct supervision)
Responsibilities
- Test, adjust, repair, and maintain radio, telemetric, fiber-optic, microwave, SCADA, supervisory, and electronic control equipment (excluding equipment that requires an FCC Operator’s license) in substations, gas gate and distribution stations, offices, properties, rights-of-way, and production facilities.
- Assist higher-grade I&C Technicians with their duties.
- Perform other related work as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Technologies (or related technical/science field).
- In lieu of a degree: 30 credits of relevant advanced education in Electrical Engineering Technologies from an accredited college/university or accredited certificate program (coursework must include AC/DC Circuit Theory, Electronics, Electric Power Systems, Automation, Electromechanical Devices, Digital Electronics, Technical Drawing, or Telecommunications).
- In lieu of education: High School Diploma/GED plus 3.5 years of relevant work experience or technical military training in a related field.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to absorb technical/electronic theory.
- Physical fitness may be required and demonstrated via medical examination at the Company’s discretion.
- Valid driver’s license.
