About the role
Play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a manufacturing business. By proactively maintaining equipment and swiftly addressing mechanical issues, you will help minimize downtime and prevent costly disruptions to production schedules. Your expertise will contribute to workplace safety by ensuring machinery operates within regulatory standards and identifying potential hazards before they escalate. Additionally, you will support continuous improvement efforts by recommending upgrades and process optimizations that enhance productivity.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled inspections, servicing, and adjustments on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain the physical condition of the facility, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general infrastructure to support a safe and efficient work environment.
- Record maintenance activities, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and support audits through accurate documentation.
- Provide 24-hour on-call service and be placed on the night call list as a trainee.
Requirements
- Possess basic math skills.
- Understanding of electronics and pneumatics systems.
- Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to access and understand PLC software applications.
- Ability to read and follow schematics, drawings, technical manuals, and blueprints.
- Computer literacy with the ability to use PC software including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to properly use all test equipment (multi-meters, scopes, pneumatic and electronic calibration devices).
- Working knowledge in the design and implementation of PLC/HMI applications, steam flow, and HVAC systems.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC circuitry.
- Working knowledge and experience in electronic and electrical controls.
- Hands-on working knowledge in panel building and subsystem wiring.
- Ability to set up, install, operate, and troubleshoot pneumatic and electronic instruments and sensing devices such as control valves, RTDs, load cells, level, and pressure sensors.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $27.57 – $34.75 hourly. Pay is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
