You enjoy working in a variety of industrial environments (pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, gas/oil/petrochemical, water/wastewater treatment, power, pulp & paper and more) and with a diverse range of people- engineers, technicians, and production personnel. This crucial role ensures the reliability, accuracy, and safety of industrial processes by maintaining and servicing gas detection instruments based on the manufacturer’s specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service gas detection instruments based on the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Ensure the reliability, accuracy, and safety of industrial processes.
  • Work in a variety of industrial environments including pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, gas/oil/petrochemical, water/wastewater treatment, power, pulp & paper and more.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production personnel.
  • Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and repair tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in technical field preferred.
  • 1-5 years’ experience in a hands-on technical application.
  • Experience as an electromechanical field tech doing calibration and repairs preferred.
  • Gas detection instrumentation experience is a big plus.
  • Demonstrate basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, use of hand tools and electronic testing equipment, and a strong attention to safety and detail.
  • Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic actuators and familiarity with pneumatics is a strong plus.

Certifications

  • Must be able to obtain certifications in all required ECI and Principal programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC and PSM credentials.
  • Forklift, Scissors, lift, and confined spaces certification may also be required.

Qualifications

  • Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record.

Pay

Salary range: $40,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

After initial training, candidate would work out of home office with travel to varied customer sites for service appointments (calibration, troubleshooting, repair, etc.) according to manufacturer’s specifications.
