Responsibilities
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and replace process instruments as a part of the facility’s maintenance program
- Maintain process instruments including valves, vibration monitors and other instruments
- Pressure test pneumatic instruments for leaks, pneumatic instruments with controllers, transducers, and valves in service
- Conduct instrumentation evaluation and troubleshooting for electrical, pneumatic, electronic as well as programmable logic control (PLC) systems
- Loop check electrical wiring for continuity and proper termination
- Perform field calibration of electronic instruments with transmitters, controllers, transducers, valves, and recorders in service
- Read, understand, correlate, and trouble-shoot from one-line schematics P & ID's, and ladder diagrams
- Knowledgeable in the use of electrical equipment testers including V.O.M., AMP meter and 1000-volt insulation tester
- Knowledgeable in communication and applicable electrical OSHA rules and regulations
- National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) certification for Instrumentation
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- NCCER certified and State Electrical License
- Plant Maintenance experience preferred
- Certifications/Licenses: NCCER, TDLR Electrical License, and DL
- Experience: 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience
