Instrument Tech I
About the role
The Instrument Technician–Surgery is responsible for detailed knowledge of the inter-departmental needs between OR, Case Carts, and the Sterile Processing Department. They coordinate and communicate daily instrument needs with OR mission partners and team leaders. The role requires competence in proper cleaning, sterilizing, and inspecting of instrumentation, proficiency in all aspects of the Immediate Use Sterilization process, and handling Biologic Indicator testing as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent prioritization and organization skills
- Basic knowledge of reading computer printouts and working from task lists
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Certification in sterile processing at the technician level or higher from an accredited organization
- 1 year of experience in a Sterile Processing Department
Pay
Expected pay for this position is $18.80 - $22.12/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
Schedule
This is an hourly position.
