Our Team

Our team consists of engineers from all disciplines with industry experience ranging from 5 to 25 years. As a core member of our Asset Management organization, you will focus on ensuring our equipment supports safe, clean, and reliable facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical solutions that meet functional expectations for key stakeholders while maintaining awareness of instrument standards and supporting the change management process for non-standard designs.
  • Utilize critical and economic thinking to justify and initiate projects for upgrading or replacing equipment that fails to meet functional expectations or is approaching obsolescence.
  • Develop instrument-related scopes based on technically sound and economically viable repair or replacement decisions.
  • Lead the development of reliability strategies for our instrument population using technical experience and expertise.
  • Apply RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) methodologies to problem-solving on micro and macro levels.
  • Participate in safety, risk assessment, and safety incident investigations related to instrumentation equipment.
  • Serve as a technical mentor for others within the Instrumentation Reliability team.
  • Excel in a multi-functional team and prioritize multiple business requests.
  • Assist with the selection and maintenance of appropriate reliability metrics for instrumentation.
  • Support knowledge of wireless systems, wireless instrumentation, field instrumentation for process measurement (e.g., Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow, Composition), specialty measurements (density, vibration, IR), control valves, shutdown valves, and their transmission systems (e.g., 4-20mA, HART, ProfiBus).
  • Support the maintenance team and interface with vendors and contractors for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, configuring, tuning, programming, testing, commissioning, and decommissioning equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology OR at least five (5) years of hands-on experience with instrumentation.
  • Experience analyzing instrumentation data to identify trends, detect issues, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Instrumentation experience in refining or petrochemical environments.
  • Experience in developing reliability strategies, updating design specifications and standards, and mechanical integrity.

Pay

For this role, we anticipate paying $130,000 - $170,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
