Instrument Person

About the role

We are looking for an Instrument Person to support the Survey group at NV5, a provider of professional and technical engineering and consulting solutions to public and private sector clients in the infrastructure, energy, construction, program management, and environmental markets.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate working knowledge of surveying equipment
• Operate Trimble GPS and robotic equipment (TDS software experience a plus)
• Read a survey-grade level
• Take level notes and draw sketches
• Perform basic survey calculations
• Upload and download data to/from a data collector on a regular basis
• Maintain field equipment
• Stock survey fleet truck with supplies and maintain inventory
• Perform basic survey fleet truck maintenance (wash, check oil, etc.)
