About the role

This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for an Instrument Operator- Surveying for our Valhalla, NY or Lawrenceville, NJ office. Be involved in our Geospatial Survey team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize survey instruments to perform field surveys.
  • Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures which include but are not limited to, location data, statistical documentation, studies and surveys, and construction.
  • Complete training on assigned tasks.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0-2+ years of experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work outside in all climates.
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree from a survey program.
  • 1-2 years of survey experience.

Expected Salary (all locations): $41,000.00 - $67,760.00
