Instrument Operator - Surveying
About the role
WSP is seeking an Instrument Operator-Surveying for their Geospatial Survey team in Valhalla, NY or Lawrenceville, NJ. This role offers opportunities to work on diverse projects including transportation, environmental, water/wastewater, commercial, residential, solid waste, and energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Utilize survey instruments to perform field surveys.
- Comply with safety guidelines and site-specific procedures.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct.
- Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0-2+ years of experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to work outside in all climates.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree from a survey program.
- 1-2 years of survey experience.

Pay
Expected Salary (all locations): $41,000.00 - $67,760.00
