Responsibilities

  • Reads and works from related blueprints and other schematic drawings.
  • Installs and/or removes various instrumentation devices.
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, and electricity.
  • Cuts, bends, and installs pipe tubing or conduit for air or process lines using hacksaws and pipe cutters.
  • Installs instruments, instrument stands, and control wiring to valves; strokes valves to verify operation.
  • Installs and calibrates recorders, alarms, switches, and other devices.
  • Steam traces lines when necessary.
  • Installs flanges and orifice plates.
  • Repairs steam traps.
  • Performs other duties necessary to remove, install, or troubleshoot instrumentation devices.
  • Maintains current electrician's license or identification card to meet state regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4 years of Journeyman level experience.
  • NCCER certification and a valid Driver’s License.
  • Legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States (Austin Industries is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa).
