Preferred Qualifications

• A PhD in History (or a related field) with demonstrable experience teaching and researching the history of the founding documents of United States government, namely the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers, the Emancipation Proclamation, and documents of the African American Freedom Struggle.
• An interest in shaping civics education for the 21st century.
• The PhD must be conferred by the start date of August 16, 2026.
