Description
Responsible for the technical support of all branch locations. This will include support of the shop floor, field service, and classroom training.
Responsibilities
- Supports all updates on equipment and new product introductions.
- Provides hands-on support for troubleshooting and repair of technical problems with equipment or computers.
- Acts as the technical go-to person for the branches.
- Shares technical communication with CAT and shares information across all branches.
- Trains branch technicians both in the classroom and on-the-job training.
- Supports all branch technical needs.
- Updates equipment and introduces new products.
- Supports troubleshooting and repairs of technical problems with equipment or computerized technical support software. Accepts ownership of training in branches and ensures the urgency and need for technical expertise.
- Works as a team with other trainers/technical support personnel to improve technician's technical expertise.
- Available to be on-call at all hours to support technicians with equipment repair.
- Available to work second or third shifts to ensure training is offered to all shifts.
- Available to travel to other branches for complete coverage of all locations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least a level IV mechanic with above-average performance.
- Must have the recommendation or reputation for having an interest in and being able to coach and mentor mechanics during the learning curve.
- Must be able to commute and spend time in all branches for training purposes.
- Must be able to interact/communicate with CAT to solve equipment problems and share information across branches.
- Must be able to work as a team with other trainers/technical support personnel.
- Must be willing to be on-call at all hours to support technicians with equipment repair.
- Must be available to work second or third shifts to ensure training is offered to all shifts.
- Must be available to travel to other branches for complete coverage of all locations.
- Must have a strong sense of purpose and support of the MacAllister Employee Workforce Development plans to implement improvements in technical training.
