Instructor/Teacher Assistant STEAM Children's Enrichment

About the Role

Snapology is a mobile children’s enrichment franchise that delivers STEAM programs for ages 2–14 in schools, libraries, homes, and other community spaces across Nassau County, Long Island, and our new location in the Samanea Mall Westbury. As an Instructor/Teacher Assistant, you will support classroom activities that promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while maintaining a safe, engaging Discovery Center environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet parents and children and represent Snapology with professionalism.
• Monitor children in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Assist in managing student behavior and maintain discipline per Snapology guidelines.
• Organize program materials and complete special assignments from leadership.
• Respond to parent inquiries about Snapology programs.
• Encourage students and parents to enroll in future programs.
• Participate in periodic training and staff meetings.

Requirements

• Current criminal and child clearances.
• Desire to work with children and ability to build cooperative relationships.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Schedule

• Weekday after-school and/or evening classes (most shifts start at 3 PM).
• Weekend workshops and birthday parties.
• Summer camps, special events, holiday, and school-break workshops.

This is a part-time position with hours ranging from 4–10 per week, depending on candidate availability and seasonal demand.

Pay

$25.00 per hour.
