Instructor, Supply Chain Logistics
Job Description
Provides instructional training related to the non-credit bearing Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC) Supply Chain Logistics and Warehouse program. The instructor will provide quality instruction to students while pursuing and maintaining current awareness of the developments and trends in supply chain management that will prepare students for the workforce, and ensures the instruction provided supports the College’s mission.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for providing instruction and preparing lesson plans based on established curriculum
- Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner
- Continually promotes students’ development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making
- Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- MSSC Certified Logistics Technician (CLA & CLT) Instructor certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related supply chain discipline or related business field
- Significant related experience may substitute for education
- Minimum of five years of experience in the related field

- Ability to use a wide variety of teaching methods to promote learning
- Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment
- The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the duties of the job and will perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers using a computer mouse and keyboard to type
- However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.
- Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings, classes and conferences away from the worksite
Set-Rate Non-Bargaining Part-Time Position
This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following Set Rate of Pay: $35.00/hour.
Special Note
If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1
