Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) is a multi-campus institution located in Upstate New York, serving nearly 9,000 students annually. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and focuses on career and transfer preparation, workforce training, and distance learning.
Responsibilities
- Correlates clinical education with didactic education
- Incorporates hospital policies into curriculum
- Develops course content materials to align with ASRT & ARRT guidelines
- Evaluates students and maintains knowledge of student progress
- Collaborates with department faculty to develop and implement new assessment processes
- Maintains current knowledge of program policies and procedures
- Prepares, produces, and disseminates relevant course information to program director and appropriate faculty
- Aids in preparing and presenting the biannual clinical supervisor meeting agenda
- Supports programmatic accreditation; assists with accreditation renewal as needed
- Aids in periodic review and revision of program curriculum
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (Master’s preferred or completed within 48 months of hire) in an allied health field or other discipline relevant to the program
- Possess a credential in the field of Radiology through the ARRT (or national equivalent)
- Minimum total of five years of experience in the field of Radiography, either as a practicing technologist or as an instructor in Radiologic Technology, or a combination of both, within the past ten years
- Post-secondary teaching experience in related discipline

Pay
$53,000.00 per year
Schedule
10-month appointment (151 workdays) reflecting responsibilities during the fall and spring semesters. Annual assigned teaching load is between thirty (30) and thirty-three (33) contact hours, typically distributed as eighteen (18) contact hours in the fall semester and fifteen (15) contact hours in the spring semester. There may be opportunities for evening and weekend teaching, as well as the potential for additional compensation through voluntary overload.
