Instructor Position - Ultrasound Fellow

About the role
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment is initially for one year, with continuation and renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three years). The position is part of a unique non‑ACGME fellowship with the Department of Emergency Medicine, providing didactic and clinical training in ultrasound while working clinically as an attending physician on hospital medicine services. Application and recruitment are handled in concert with the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide attending‑physician coverage on hospital medicine services, including nights and weekends at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
- Cover limited weekend shifts at Good Shepherd Penn Partners Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH).
- Participate in didactic and clinical ultrasound training as part of the fellowship.
Requirements
- M.D. or equivalent degree.
- Board certified or board eligible in general internal medicine or family medicine.
