Instructor Pool- FINANCE
Position Profile
The College of Business Administration (CBA) at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse seeks to fill an Instructor Pool position in the Department of Finance. This is a terminal (fixed-term) position serving as a pool of potential instructors for program needs.
Job Duties
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in a face-to-face, hybrid, or online format.
- Prepare for and hold classes, evaluate student work, assess student outcomes, provide feedback, maintain records, and conduct office hours.
- Provide advising services and other departmental support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in a finance-related field, or significant progress toward a doctorate degree, or post-baccalaureate certification or licensure, or a combination of a baccalaureate and relevant experience.
- Specific certification/licensure or clinical experience may be required depending on the program.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate classroom, online, and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses.
- Develop instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction.
- Serve as an initial point of contact for students regarding course content and expectations.
Department Overview
The CBA includes six academic departments and the Small Business Development Center, offering over 3,000 students in eight majors and seven minors. Accredited by AACSB International, the CBA is known for its high-quality faculty, staff, programs, and students, with strong regional and global partnerships. The college maintains a robust Assurance of Learning program to evaluate and improve student outcomes.
