Instructor - Part Time (Theatre Applicant Pool)

Job Summary

The Instructor - Part Time (Theatre Applicant Pool) position is open for ongoing review. This role is for classroom instruction.

Job Duties

• Teach theatre courses at the college level
• Develop and implement lesson plans
• Assess student progress and provide feedback
• Maintain classroom and lab environments conducive to learning

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Theatre or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Theatre
• Two (2) years of college-level teaching experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, and sitting
• Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
• Use of hands for fine motor skills
• Ability to hear and speak clearly

Reasoning Ability

• Apply logical and scientific thinking to problem-solving
• Understand and interpret complex documents
• Write speeches and articles
• Make persuasive speeches

Mathematical Skills

• Work with fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
• Apply mathematical concepts to practical situations

Work Environment

• Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
• May work in a laboratory setting
• Work in a moderate noise environment
