Instructor - Part-time for Non-credit Classes - Environmental
About the role
The Office of Continuing Professional Education, part of NJAES - Cooperative Extension, seeks instructors to teach non-credit courses (half-day through multi-day) to adult learners on the New Brunswick campus. Courses may also be held at various locations throughout the State of New Jersey and/or in an online format.
Responsibilities
- Develop and present course material during the assigned course times.
- Coincide course material with Program Coordinator.
- Follow up with necessary paperwork.
Requirements
Primarily but not limited to:
- Environmental Science
- Food Science/Safety
- Recycling/Solid Waste Management
- Stormwater Management
- Landscape/Horticulture
- Pesticide Safety
- Environmental Policy
- Drinking Water/Wastewater
Qualifications
Experience teaching adult learners, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently are required. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to use online learning platforms, and excellent organizational skills are beneficial.
