Instructor of Nuclear Medicine Imaging and Therapy
About the Role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year, with continuation and renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).
Qualifications
Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be board eligible or have specialty certification in nuclear medicine, either current American Board of Nuclear Medicine certification or a CAQ in nuclear radiology from the American Board of Radiology, and must have completed a nuclear medicine or nuclear radiology ACGME-approved training program.
Responsibilities
- Performing and interpreting nuclear medicine stress tests and EKGs.
- Evaluating and treating patients with therapeutic radio-pharmaceuticals and general nuclear medicine studies.
- Participating in shared after-hour and weekend coverage.
- Engaging in case review series and didactic lectures with residents and nuclear medicine imaging and therapy fellows.
- Developing research credentials with support provided for academic and/or clinical career preparation.
A specialized research focus may be developed in consultation with the division chief. Candidates must have extensive PET/CT experience.

Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center, and affiliated outpatient imaging centers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
