About the role

The Radiology and Imaging department is actively seeking an Accredited Council Graduate Medical Education training fellow to train under Radiology and Imaging faculty in the area of Breast Imaging while working clinically as a faculty member in the Radiology and Imaging Department of Augusta University Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Train under Radiology and Imaging faculty in the area of Breast Imaging
  • Work clinically as a faculty member in the Radiology and Imaging Department of Augusta University Medical Center
  • Provide students with the skills necessary to administer radiation treatments safely and accurately to patients in the clinical setting
  • Teach assignments in various delivery modes

Requirements

  • MD Degree
  • Completed Diagnostic Radiology Residency
  • ABR board certified/eligible

Qualifications

  • Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation
  • Evidence of ability as a teacher
  • Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned
  • Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements)
  • Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations

The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is one of the nation’s largest medical schools by class size, with 260 students per class. The educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state and a second four-year campus in Athens in partnership with the University of Georgia.
