About the role

The Technical Support Service instructor at Bay Correctional Facility in Panama City, FL, assists inmates in achieving their career goals through instruction in various occupational programs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized competency-based instruction through classroom and laboratory management.
• Develop performance objectives and criterion-referenced tests in accordance with established program content.
• Select and adapt instructional materials to help inmates achieve mastery of competencies.
• Plan activities to support a progressive training schedule and monitor inmate progress.
• Maintain accountability of inmates and property, adhering to safety practices.
• Promote positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening in inappropriate behaviors.
• Execute all applicable forms to ensure adherence to facility procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited college, university, or vocational school (preferred).
• Must possess or be eligible for certificate, license, or other legal credentials required by state law, regulation, or contract.
• Three (3) years of experience in the trade and/or vocational area of instruction.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Pay

$23.50 per hour

Schedule

Full-time; Monday-Friday; 7:00AM-3:30PM
