About the role

Provides instructional training related to the Drone program for the Public Safety Training Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and prepare lesson plans for established curriculum
• Deliver training related to the Drone Training program
• Promote students’ development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, professionalism, customer service, computation, problem solving, and decision-making
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (significant related experience may substitute for education)
• Minimum of four years UAS operations experience and knowledge of FAA regulations
• Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in Word Processing and PowerPoint Presentation software, as well as Internet and Email basic skills
• Ability to assess and grade the progress of students
• Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

• Work is performed in a normal, professional office environment
• Work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated
• Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform duties, with repetitive motions using hands/fingers (e.g., computer mouse and keyboard)
• May involve walking, standing, bending, or carrying light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, or books
• May require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite

Pay

$25.00 per hour

Schedule

Part-time. Hours will depend on program needs.
