About the role
The Instructor will teach within the Medical Laboratory Science Programs (MLS) at West Virginia University (WVU), part of the School of Medicine. Responsibilities include assisting in student laboratories, serving as the MLS Student Laboratory Manager and Safety Officer, and contributing to secondary teaching assignments, student advising, and recruitment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in student laboratories
- Serve as the MLS Student Laboratory Manager and Safety Officer
- Contribute to secondary teaching assignments
- Student advising and recruiting
- Participation in service and research missions of the School of Medicine
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in MLS or a related discipline
- National certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist)
- Clinical experience preferred
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in MLS or related field
- National certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist)
- Preferred teaching experience
