Instructor, Dental Radiography
About the role
This position teaches a full range of skills and knowledge in Dental Assistant Radiography and related workshops.
Responsibilities
- Implements approved direct Dental Assistant curriculum to enhance the learning options of program participants
- Maintains records, scores, and evaluates educational performance of participants
- Identifies and refers participants for supportive services to enhance student success
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate of Science with teaching experience in an allied Dental Program
- Three years of demonstrated experience as a Dental Assistant
- Ohio Dental Assisting Radiographer Certification or RDH
- Demonstrated experience with distance education
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science CDA or RDH
- Experience: Three years of teaching Radiography in an allied Dental Program
- Knowledge: Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, ability to assess and grade student progress, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, sensitivity to responding to the needs of a diverse population
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science CDA or RDH
- Experience: Three years of teaching Radiography in an allied Dental Program
- Development and implementation of distance learning courses
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment
- The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the duties of the job and will perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers using a computer mouse and keyboard to type
- There may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.
- Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite

Pooled Position - If hired, you must reside in the state of Ohio and be within commuting distance of this work location/campus to respond to onsite work demands upon the employment start date and throughout the duration of your employment with the College, as outlined in 3354:1-40-01.1
