Instructor - Dental Hygiene (Part-Time Interest Pool 2026)

Job Summary

The posting is to establish an applicant pool for potential openings in 2026. While a position is not guaranteed, we encourage interested candidates to apply so they may be considered if a vacancy becomes available.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Assists the program director in the adherence to and review of program practices to meet accreditation standards.
• Conforms to college regulations regarding textbook selection and replacement.
• Mets classes on time and regularly as scheduled, and arrives 15 minutes prior to the start of all lab or clinical sessions.
• Posts and maintains appropriate office hours either in person or remotely.
• Teaches one evening class per year or one summer term class as needed.
• Attends or participates remotely in all scheduled faculty meetings.
• Assists in the development of courses as requested by other instructors or the program director.
• Assists the clinical coordinator, program director, and/or administrative assistant on a variety of projects as needed.
• Reports any student concerns (academic, clinical, or behavioral) to the clinical coordinator, program director, or Dean as they arise.
• Reports any clinical equipment or supply concerns to the clinical coordinator as they arise.
• Maintains and emphasizes safe working conditions and practices in the labs/clinic, classrooms, department offices, supply area, and sterilization room.
• Adheres to the same dress code, grooming, and PPE requirements as mandated for students who are participating in lab or clinical activities.
• Understands and abides by college policies and regulations.
