About the role
Provides Continuing Education instruction for skills training courses delivered through the Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) & Certified Production Technician (CPT) program. Coordinates and teaches Orientation and Job Search courses. Prepares students for online certification assessments and provides tutoring for retakes. Identifies and develops new programs. Facilitates learning within a correctional facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Provides instruction in HRD and OE classrooms at specified time frames to cover all aspects of the CPT and CLT curriculum
- Participates in the scheduling of events, classes, and tutoring
- Aids in the development and acquisition of visual aides and other academic materials
- Recruits students and participants to meet enrollment goals
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean, Workforce Development
- Maintains all required PCC/HRD/OE documentation and processes in timely fashion
- Assists in identifying, developing, and implementing new programs/courses
- Records assessment results for each student participating
- Works with other staff to schedule MSSC testing and retesting
- Maintains student database of all MSSC scores
- Affixes course outlines, student learning objectives, and instructional materials
- Maintains good rapport with students, co-workers, and partner agency personnel
- Participates in team meetings, as appropriate/assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Industrial Technology or related field. Masters Degree preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment with experience in industrial training preferred.
Qualifications
- One year of teaching in a classroom at post-secondary level and experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Understand OSHA requirements and preferred certification in OSHA
- Computer and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong commitment to adult education, employment/career development training and job placement

- Knowledge of college policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of other agencies with which the department works
