About the role
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in Biology.
Responsibilities
- Perform job duties from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
- Teach courses on-ground at the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
- Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students.
- Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class.
- Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend.
- Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
- Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities.
- Serve as academic advisor to students as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Biology (OR) Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Biology
- Collegiate level teaching experience.
- Ability to teach a variety of general biology courses for majors and nonmajors including Anatomy & Physiology I and II.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a wide range of faculty, staff, and student population.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Pay
$41,708.00 - $52,135.00 depending on experience
