Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver high-quality instruction in automotive technology
- Facilitate learning for students with diverse learning styles
- Develop syllabi, instructional plans, and daily class organization
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure a safe instructional environment
- Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback
- Advise and mentor students regarding academics and career paths
- Collaborate with the Office of Student Success for tutoring and retention
- Participate in tours, recruitment events, and program promotion
- Assist with planning and curriculum updates to meet industry needs
- Exhibit professionalism and service-minded behavior
- Flexible for evening, weekend, or summer assignments as needed
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a closely related field
- 5+ years of automotive industry experience
- ASE Certifications: G1, A1-A8 Master Automobile Technician
- Technical skills: engine rebuilds, diagnostics, HVAC, brakes, suspension, steering, hybrid/electric systems, ADAS, fuel/ignition/emission systems
- AAS or Bachelor’s in Automotive Technology or related field (preferred)
- 7+ years of automotive industry experience (preferred)
- ASE Certifications: L1, L2, L3 (preferred)
- EPA 609 certification (preferred)
- Advanced diagnostics and repair (hybrid/electric vehicles, bus network systems, transmissions) (preferred)
