About the role
The Division of Hematology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks a full-time instructor with expertise in hematologic malignancies to join the Division. The new faculty member will participate in clinical and translational research related to leukemia, train medical residents, fellows, and others, and engage in outreach activities.
Responsibilities
- Ambulatory-based patient care, caring for patients with blood cancers
- Partner with Hospital and School of Medicine partners to grow and build the hematological malignancies program
- Supervise nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, fellows, residents, and medical students as needed
- Develop a research program
- Participate in and lead outreach activities, including outreach clinics, educational events, camps, and work with patient advocacy groups
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified in Hematology and/or Oncology
- Eligible for Colorado state medical license
- Experience in treating patients with hematological disorders
Qualifications
- Research experience
- Experience with regulatory and quality improvement activities
Skills and Abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Outstanding customer service skills
Work Location
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite full time, in various sites on the Anschutz Medical Campus located in Aurora, CO.
