About the role

Responsibilities
- Teaches functional living and community integration skills to program participants
- Adapts teaching techniques and methods to meet individual needs
- Supervises assigned group of program participants and welfare of participants
- Instructs on a daily basis program participants to implement goals specified in implementation plans
- Organizes the learning and work activity setting for an assigned group
- Plans and promotes activities in the community to allow education, exposure, and experience for individuals
- Makes daily assessments of participant progress and develops goals for the program year
- Participates in various team meetings and committees
- Supervises and instructs assigned program participants during the lunch period
- Maintains a liaison with social caseworkers, families, and other significant persons
- Communicates unusual incidents related to program participants
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent certification preferred
- One (1) year experience in a direct care capacity, working in developmental disabilities or a related field preferred
- Certification in Behavior Analysis preferred
- Must be able to become certified in T.A.C.T., First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration
