Instructor/Assistant Professor, Agricultural Education
About the role
The selected candidate will be expected to carry an instructional load of 12 hours per semester, including courses such as Introduction to Agricultural Education, Supervision in Agricultural Education, Program Planning in Agricultural Education and Extension, or other courses as needed. This position will teach various undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Agricultural Education. The selected candidate will also help supervise student teachers and lead the FFA events that the Hutson School of Agriculture (HSOA) hosts each year. The chosen candidate will engage in various public service and research activities, advise undergraduate students, co-advise the Collegiate FFA chapter, and develop positive rapport with local, state and regional-level Agricultural Education stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Teach various undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Agricultural Education
- Supervise student teachers
- Lead FFA events hosted by the Hutson School of Agriculture (HSOA)

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Agricultural Education or a related field is required.
- A terminal degree in Agricultural Education or a related field is preferred.
- Documented successful teaching experience is required.
Qualifications
- Note: If the successful candidate is master’s prepared, the position will be filled as a non-tenure track, instructor. If the successful candidate holds a terminal degree appropriate for the position, the position will be filled as a tenure-track, assistant professor.
