Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy

About the role

The Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California (USC) invites applications for multiple full-time clinical faculty positions within the Department of Occupational Therapy at Keck Hospital of USC & Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. We are hiring for distinct roles across several adult rehabilitation service areas, with opportunities for clinicians to float between practice settings as service needs require.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in diverse practice areas, including but not limited to: Cardiopulmonary & Transplant rehabilitation, Lymphedema management (Certified Lymphedema Therapist preferred), Oncology rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal & orthopedic rehabilitation, Chronic condition management (Lifestyle Redesign Certification preferred), Hand therapy (Hand Therapy Certification or Certified Hand Therapist preferred).
• Teach students in the Department of Occupational Therapy, contributing to the curriculum and clinical education.
• Participate in research activities, including contributing to existing projects or initiating new research initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical programs and services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

• A current license to practice occupational therapy in California.
• Broad experience serving adult physical rehabilitation populations.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Experience in relevant clinical areas (e.g., Cardiopulmonary & Transplant rehabilitation, Lymphedema management, Oncology rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal & orthopedic rehabilitation, Chronic condition management, Hand therapy).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Research proficiency, including the ability to design and conduct studies.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 FTE. Monthly: $6,666- $8,333 (actual salary to be negotiated based on experience).
