Position Summary

This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in Architectural Design Technology.

Essential Job Functions/Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform job duties from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
  • Teach courses on-ground at the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
  • Teach courses in other instructional delivery modes, such as online, hybrid or web-enhanced, from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location, as determined by the College.
  • Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent student experiences.
  • Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide updated, accurate, and timely course materials to students.
  • Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class.
  • Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox.
  • Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on weekends.
  • Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, and grade submissions.
  • Administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
  • Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities.
  • Serve as academic advisor to students as assigned.
  • Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
  • College level teaching experience
  • Proficiency with REVIT and familiarity with Lumion Rendering software
  • Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a wide range of faculty, staff, and student population
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and needs of the student population

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Architecture or related field
  • Experience with other instructional delivery modes

Rate of Pay

$43,694 - $54,618 annually, depending on experience. Salary will be prorated for the specified term in accordance with institutional policies.
