Instructional Teaching Position
Aitkin School District #0001 is seeking an Instructional Teacher to support 4th Grade and various programs for the 2026-27 school year (1.0 FTE).

Aitkin Public Schools' mission is to empower students to be life-long learners and productive citizens by developing high expectations and student achievement in a safe and friendly learning environment. The district covers a large portion of Aitkin County in northern Minnesota, offering a small-town atmosphere with access to outdoor recreation, including over 365 lakes, the Mississippi and Ripple Rivers, scenic wildlife trails, and nearby golf courses.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Special Education team members, Fourth Grade team members, elementary staff, and administration.
- Participate in regular PLC meetings as an active and engaged professional.
- Communicate frequently with parents, colleagues, students, and administrators through all available means of technology.
- Establish and maintain high standards for the educational experience of students.
- Teach Social Emotional Curriculum (Character Strong) to various elementary classes (K-6).
- Support Media Literacy for upper elementary classes.
Requirements
- Current MN teaching licensure (variances are possible).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Able to work cooperatively with staff.
